Spark

4 - 7 Year Old Learners

Our Spark Studio embraces the fact that our young heroes process everything through their senses and this environment provides materials and activities to give them a joyful learning experience. They learn to be curious, have fun and explore natural interests through play and collaboration.

Elementary

7 - 11 Year Old Learners

At our Elementary Studio we lay the foundation for the joy of learning as we encourage our young heroes to find their life’s calling and tap into their unique genius. Our well-balanced educational experience ignites curiosity, creativity, and the ability to ask good questions.

Middle School

11 - 14 Year Old Learners

Acton Academy Middle School is where young heroes learn to work hard, tackle complex computational challenges, communicate clearly and persuasively and develop the passion and real-world skills needed to make a difference in the world.

Launchpad

14 - 18 Year Old Learners

Launchpad (high school) is where learners prepare for the adventure of a lifetime, whether the next step is a selective college, launching their own business or a first job at SpaceX or Google.

A Day in Spark

Empowering Environment:
The Spark Studio offers a welcoming space where young learners navigate independently and let their curiosity lead the way.
Morning Work Cycle:
Learners explore Montessori activities with a “freedom within boundaries” approach, tackling a variety of challenges at their own pace.
Afternoon Spark Play:
Focused on outdoor exploration, promoting creativity through unstructured play with loose parts.
Adventures in Nature:
Time with pet chickens, rabbits and goats. Exploring the natural world helps children connect with their environment.

A Day in the Elementary Studio

Ask great questions.
Have fun and welcome others.
Set and track goals.
Build a solid foundation in math, reading, writing, and Civilization.
Explore, are curious and develop a love of learning through hands-on project-based learning.

A Day in the Middle School Studio

Master core skills (reading, writing, and math) through the latest technology.
Develop critical thinking and an appreciation for heroes and history through Socratic discussions.
Dive deeply into biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, finance and psychology through immersive quests and public exhibitions.
Prepare for the real world through challenging apprenticeships.

A Day in Launch Pad

Prepare for the real world through challenging apprenticeships, interviews with industry leaders, and deep reflection of how your gifts and passions align with a need in the world.
Read deep literature; communicate clearly and powerfully; and tackle real world computational challenges.
Wrestle with timeless moral dilemmas through Socratic discussions in Civilization and through studio governance.
Dive deeply into college level biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, finance and psychology through immersive quests and public exhibitions.
Serve in leadership roles in lower studios, their community, and around the world in the Acton Network.
